Retired Veterans Getting Tired of being Victums
 

I was in a VA hospital last month, the veterans there were all talking about being robbed and beaten up 20 ft. from there front door of there homes. The vets are being robbed of their medications also.
I talked to 50 or 60 different veterans and they are tired of it and all have applied for there Concealed Weapons Permit.

Is this just restricted to the South or is it all over the Nation?

If they're a vet and in the VA clinic, they're probably disabled.

Let me let you in on a secret.....many disabled vets are far from incapable of protection. I am technically a disabled vet, but hit the gym every morning for 2 hours of weight lifting. So since VA clinics operate in the daylight hours that means that these people are being accosted in the middle of the day. With other vets coming and going as well. There is one thing about veterans, they will stick up for other veterans. Many people work at the VA that are vets also.

I would guess this is the homeless variety making these claims, and they are being accosted well away from the VA. In all actuality, I would say they are full of shit and just trying to get more medications because
A. they are self medicating.
B. They sold it to get booze.
So if this is the case, then it is a social problem.

Or he lives in one f.ucked up area.

It AMAZES me how low some dirtbags will go.

I hope these vets get some BLOODY REVENGE against these parasitic slime.

If the cops would do their job instead of being local city tax collectors, we wouldn't have this problem now would we?

Never said vets couldn't defend themselves....

But which one sounds easier?

Now in the end the person may end up getting his butt handed to him on a silver platter... but that's another story. :-)

Even with groups... you get a group of thugs, which one sounds easier to them?

I'm just trying to look at it from the other sides perspective... believe me, I know vets ain't nothing to mess with, I know some and am one.

I find the story hard to believe like I said. A local pharmacy would be a better target for wanna-be thieves.

Anyways I think the VA mails all their prescriptions via USPS. I think they went to that system a few years ago. Maybe some homeless vets get their stuff mailed to the VA for legal reasons. Then they make up these BS stories to get more meds.

It was an Regional VA hospital, the Veterans were from Pensacola, Fl, South Ala. They were being robbed at home which could be 125 to 200 mile radius of Pensacola. Mostly it sounds like the persons robbing them know when and where the mail delivers the meds, along with the first of the month when veterans get their checks. Sorry I didn't edit the first post on where the robberies were taking place. The Va hospital has police on the premisis and is very safe.
